Did yall know that it gets hot in Alabama?

Yesterday was Saturday and it started off relaxed, L and I ate breakfast, watched Fox, and drank coffee.

Libba had some running around to do and I decided to go out and get ready to go to Audra and Joey's. We had to pack some stuff to take up there and I figured that could things ready while she was gone.

While I was eating and drinking it had gotten hot. Did I say hot, I meant HOT, STICKY, MUGGY, NASTY, AFRICA HOT. I work outside and I don't think that it has been this hot in a while. Maybe it is because I normally get out earlier.

I had dressed to go to Bham and by the time we were ready to go my shirt was soaked and my favorite jockey juniors were plastered to me. No big deal, take a shower and start over.

Within minutes of getting to Bham I had reversed any gains that were made by taking a shower. There was a slight breeze but I told L, "It feels like the breath of Satan".

Four buckets of sweat, 100 trips to the trailer, and 2 beers later we were finished.

On the way home I had time to think, "Why are all of my children moving to places that are just as hot, or hotter than Alabama?".

Do any of you have plans to move to the mountains? Carolina is nice, Colorado is wonderful. No. Richmond, Austin, and San Antonio are all noted for high temps. Help a fat boy out! Sheezh!
