Today I heard that the Obama administration had announced that any car maker that accepted a bailout would be prevented from participating in NASCAR.
After some thought and my redneck urge to rebel, I figured that this was the first sane thing I had heard come out of Washington since the change of power.
If a car maker can not show a profit then they don't need to be dumping millions on a sport that does not bring in many millions. And I thought that they don't need to advertise on TV if that is not shown to bring in the bucks.
Further I felt that if private planes, entertainment, CEO salaries, and golf does not bring in profits, then these should not be tax deductible.
Late this afternoon my hopes were shattered, it was all a April Fools hoax. Nothing smart is coming out of Washington.
